HOPE Smiling Navarathri

Navarathri is one of the holy days which Hindus follows
continuously for nine days by fasting in the belief of getting
Braveness, prosperity and skills. Since students of all religions study at Ratmalane Hindu College, we decided to celebrate Navaraathri with those kids to build up unity among all religions.

The club gathered the information and decided to sponsor a special Pooja and cultural event for this Navarathri. Leos of our club bought all the food needed for the pooja and some of our Leos prepared food from their houses also. Pooja started at 7am, Leos, Teachers and hundreds of students gathered. Special Pooja was done by a holy priest at the school temple and the Prasatham (special foods) was offered to the sun god. After Pooja, students, Teachers and Leos gathered in main hall. Some religious rituals were carried out and the cultural events continued. Many talented students showed their talents in the form of songs, Dramas and speeches. Finally Prasatham and other food were distributed among to the students by our Leos. Teachers thanked our Leos for their wonderful effort and support.
